Connected Destiny Privacy Policy

Effective

Connected Destiny is free and ad-supported. It does not ask you for any personal information, but our advertising and analytics partners collect some device and usage data.

This privacy policy applies to the Connected Destiny app for mobile devices (the “Application”), created by Basement Experiments (the “Service Provider”) as a free, ad-supported service. The Application is provided “as is”.

Information collection and use

The Application does not ask you to create an account or to provide any personally identifiable information.

When you download and use the Application, some information is collected automatically by the Application and the third-party services it uses. This may include:

  • your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID);
  • the screens of the Application you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those screens;
  • the total time spent in the Application;
  • your device model and the operating system you use on your mobile device.

This information is used to show advertisements, to understand how the Application is played and to improve its performance and functionality.

Location

The Application does not request access to your device’s location and does not collect precise (GPS) location. Our advertising and analytics partners may infer your approximate location (such as country or city) from your IP address, for example to show relevant ads and to produce aggregated statistics.

Third-party services

The Application uses third-party services that have their own privacy policies about how they handle data:

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically shared with external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application. The Service Provider may also disclose automatically collected information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set out in this privacy policy.

Advertising choices

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings (on most Android devices: Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Opt-out rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process on your device or through the Google Play Store.

Data retention

The Service Provider does not store personal data on its own servers. Data collected by third-party services is retained according to their privacy policies. If you would like data associated with your use of the Application to be deleted, contact support@basementexperiments.com and the Service Provider will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be deleted immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact support@basementexperiments.com.

Security

The Service Provider cares about the confidentiality of your information and uses reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. You are advised to review this page periodically; continued use of the Application after changes are posted means you accept them.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this privacy policy, as it may be amended.
